On 19 July 2019, a ceremonial signing of the agreement on the History of Holocaust course was held at Grigol Robakidze University in Tbilisi, Georgia.The agreement was signed by the rector of the university, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze, the author of the course Dr Nona Chanturia, founder of the Israeli House Itsik Moshe, David Bitan, a leader of the Israeli Knesset Governing Coalition and Osnat Hila Mark, member of  Knesset.According to the agreement, the course will become a part of the study programs of Grigol Robakidze University.  Once a year, the best student of the course will visit Knesset, ministries, Israeli universities and other esteemed organizations.The university also plans to open an Israeli Room which will support the popularization of the teaching and research in Georgia.Today,  when antisemitism is one of the most influential antihumanist theories,  this particular attention to the genocide of Jews as well as teaching about Holocaust at the university level, was very emotional for the Israeli visitors who represented Israeli parliament, business circles and media.

As the founder of Israeli House, Itsik Moshe noted, the new course at Grigol Robakidze University, was a significant event. He thanked the rector and author of the course for the work they had done.

David Bitan, a leader of the governing coalition of Knesset, expressed his hope that the number of students, who would visit Israeli, would be higher than given in the contract. He affirmed his support for the university.

Osnat Hila Mark, a member of the Israeli Knesset, welcomed the bringing of the new course and wished success to the university.

Rector Mamuka Tavkhelidze expressed his gratitude to the Israeli visitors and expressed his readiness for future productive cooperation. According to him, the university has excellent facilities and academic potential to have a mutually fruitful and beneficial partnership with Israeli universities and research organizations. In this respect, future activities will start in Autumn 2019.
