Unprecedented Number of Students in the New Course of the “Holocaust History”

In the spring semester of 2021, Grigol Robakidze University once again offered a new group for the “Holocaust History” course. Notably, student interest in this elective continues to grow each year. While a certain number of students enrolled in the fall semester of 2020, enrollment rose to 64 students in spring 2021. According to a survey conducted by the course leader, Associate Professor Nona Chanturia, a significant portion of the participants are students of psychology, journalism, and social sciences, for whom this course is highly valuable for professional development. Many students who wished to enroll last semester were unable to do so. Furthermore, a considerable number of current students learned about the course from previous participants, which strongly influenced their decision to enroll.
It is also noteworthy that the university, known for offering a wide range of engaging courses, is demonstrating increased interest in Holocaust studies. As in previous years, various stimulating activities are planned for this course, and updates will be shared on our news page.
