On October 21, 2019, Holocaust History Course students, under the guidance of their supervisor, Dr. Nona Chanturia, and at the invitation of the “Israel House”, attended an evening held at the “Wyndham Grand” Hotel to celebrate the European Day of Jewish Culture.
The event was attended by honored guests from Israel, members of the Israeli parliament, Labor Party leader Amir Peretz, and former Knesset Vice Speaker Hilik Bar. Various aspects of Georgian-Israeli relations were discussed at the meeting.
Amir Peretz welcomed the audience and several times mentioned the topic of the meeting with the students (of Grigol Robakidze University). At the end of the meeting, he also took a picture with our students.
